		<description>Part of the job of application designers is to make faceted search less jarring to users unfamiliar with it. For example, users are familiar with hierarchical taxonomies, and much of a faceted search interface can be made to mimic the look and feel of a hierarchical taxonomy--users may not even realize that they are able to narrow by facets in arbitrary order!

Of course, users probably will get more out of faceted search once they understand and appreciate it. But there&#039;s no harm in making the initial education easy.</description>
